The MBHP has a statewide behavioral health emergency services program/mobile crisis intervention (ESP/MCI).

ESP/MCI provides 24/7/365 crisis services in the community, helping individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis to avoid the stress and inconvenience of going to a hospital emergency department.

These services are available to all individuals with MassHealth. ESP/MCI services are able to deliver care either telephonically or through telehealth and connect individuals to community-based care. They are also mobile and may come to one’s home, a provider’s office, or another location in the community.

For more information: watch a short video (transcript available here) and read a program brochure in English or Spanish
